WHAT – FSA’s 8th Annual Sayaw Culture Showcase: Call of DT

WHERE – UCF Ferrell Commons Auditorium – 4000 Central Florida Boulevard; Orlando, FL 32826

WHEN – Saturday April 6, 2013 6pm to 9pm

WHO – Everyone

COST – Free and taking donations for the Wounded Warriors Project and Gawad Kalinga.

WHY – In Tagalog, the word “Sayaw” means to dance; FSA is hosting its 8th Annual Sayaw Cultural Showcase, an amazing show put on by your fellow FSA members.

Come enjoy the ultimate cultural experience as we pay homage to the Philippine Islands! The evening is highlighted by various cultural dances by FSA’s own Dance Troupe, alongside a guest appearance by our modern dance group, Fresh Off The Beat.

Also, FREE (full-course) MEAL AND PRIZES/RAFFLES!!

*Proceeds collected from/raffles/ donations will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Project AND Gawad Kalinga. The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) works to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs. Gawad Kalinga (GK), which means to “give care” in Filipino, is building empowered communities by people with faith and patriotism; driven by a culture of caring and sharing, dedicated to eradicate poverty and restore human dignity.

WHAT – AASU Presents: Musicfest 2013!

WHERE – Reitz Union Rio Ballroom – 686 Museum Rd, Gainesville, FL 32611

WHEN – Friday April 5, 2013 7pm to 10pm

WHO – Everyone especially Gators

COST – Please bring some canned goods for the good cause!

WHY – This event was created to help both the community through the students’ help, as well as help expose the amazing talent we have around here in Florida. Last year, we did a clothing drive supporting the local Salvation Army, where we garnered up over 800 articles of clothing to clothe the needy. Now this year, we have decided to switch it up, and do a canned food drive, benefiting the St. Francis House! The St. Francis House does so much for our local community, so as students, we should help to do out part by bringing in as many cans as we can! So come out, bring a few cans, bring a few friends, and come share some good vibes, for a good cause!
